Praying for Kaitlyn

Sometimes you have to

when you have barely begun to live! Kaitlyn was diagnosed at the end of her 7th grade year with Ewings Sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. It was found in her right leg but has since spread to her lungs.

Now, instead of preparing to join her twin Jake in 8th grade she is fighting for her life with only a 20% chance of survival. She spends about a week every month in the hospital but she always has a smile for anyone who stops in to say hello. Even on the worst of days.

When her grandmother, Connie, sent us an email asking if we could help Jake with his upcoming project, we couldn't say no. To honor his sister, he entered a Cardboard Boat Contest and WON!!

Nor could we accept her offer to pay us for our services when we heard the story. So we "stopped the presses" on all custom artwork and blog designs for a day to help Jake with a special surprise for his sister.

We are still putting the final touches on the design but since so many people have asked what the "secret project" we were working on was.... I thought I would share. I will post the final pictures once they are ready.

In the last few days, Kaitlyn has gotten sicker and so her family is currently focusing on that. As soon as they are able, they will be back to finish up the design with us. Until then, everyone can read updates about Kaitlyn on the Facebook page the family has set up for updating.
